How to plant seeds
- Note: Butternut Squash is a thermophilic plant, suitable for growing in tropical climates such as the Philippines, Southeast Asia,... Because when grown here, it will produce the sweetest, most delicious, and best quality fruit.
STEP 1: PREPARE
- Soak the seeds in warm water for about 2-3 hours, remove and cover with a damp paper towel. When the pumpkin seeds sprout white, sow them in soil pots or nursery trays.
STEP 2: SOWING THE SEEDS
- Look for seeds that germinate to a depth of 0.3-0.5 cm. When the plant is 7-10 cm tall, the stem is strong, and has 3-5 large cotyledon leaves, transfer the plant to a large pot for planting.
STEP 3: CUT THE SEED CHILDREN
- When the seedlings grow to have 3 - 4 leaves and the stems are fat and strong, you can take each plant and plant them separately in pots, styrofoam boxes, large plastic buckets, or you can plant them directly in the ground or plant them.
